Bhadarwah Residents Protest Over 10-Day Water Supply Disruption
Bhadarwah, Sept 6: Residents of Bhadarwah have staged a protest against the administration after facing an acute shortage of drinking water for the last 10 days. Locals complained that despite repeated appeals, no action has been taken to restore the water supply, forcing many households to rely on private tankers and unsafe sources.
Protesters gathered in large numbers, raising slogans against the concerned authorities and demanding immediate redressal of the crisis. They alleged that the disruption has created severe hardships, particularly for students, elderly people, and women who are struggling to manage daily needs.
Community representatives urged the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department to take urgent measures to restore water supply without further delay. They warned that if the problem persists, the agitation will be intensified in the coming days.
