02 drug peddlers arrested in Budgam; Contraband substance & Cash Rs 29000 recovered

BUDGAM, August 24:
Continuing its efforts to rein in the menace of drugs from the society, Budgam Police arrested 02 drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance & cash from their possession.
During Naka checking at Sheikhpora, police party of police post Humhama apprehended two persons when they tried to flee from the spot upon noticing the police naka. During their personal search following items were recovered 01. Capsules Spascore-Von plus 183 Capsules, Heroin like substance 1.5 Grams, Cash Rupees 29,050/= and Blank cheques of J&K Bank signed 04 number.
The arrested persons have been identified as Tanveer Ahmad Ganie son of Ghulam Nabi Ganie resident of ompora Budgam and Lateef Ahmad Paul son of Abdul Aziz Paul resident of Sheikhpora Budgam
Case FIR number 285/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Budgam & investigation taken up.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighborhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
