Police arrests 02 thieves in Budgam, stolen property recovered

August 20: Police in Budgam have arrested 02 thieves and recovered stolen property from their possession.
Police Station Magam received an information that 2 persons were trying to sell golden ornaments to a goldsmith at Narbal Market and they did not possess any sales voucher. Accordingly, a police party rushed to the spot and apprehended both persons. They have been identified as Ghulam Hassan Zargar son of Mohammad Ismail Zargar resident of Chichlora Kunzer & Mushtaq Ahmad Rather son of Abdul Rashid Rather resident of Waripora Payeen Kunzer. 4 gold coins, 01 pair of Gold bangles were recovered from their possession.
During the course of investigation, it was ascertained that the recovered gold items turned out to be stolen property in Case FIR No. 255/2021 U/S 457,380 IPC. Both the persons have been arrested in the instant case & have been shifted to PS where they remain in custody.
Further investigation in the case is going on.
