SHUKRAYAAN MISSION
ISRO plans to launch India's first Venus Mission 'Shukrayaan-I' in December 2024.The mission is a planned orbiter to Venus to study the planet's surface and atmosphere. The satellite is planned to be launched onboard the GSLV Mk II rocket. Objective of this mission is to investigation of the surface processes and shallow subsurface stratigraphy; solar wind interaction with Venusian Ionosphere, and studying the structure, composition & dynamics of the atmosphere. By studying Venus, scientists learn how Earth-like planets evolved and what conditions exist on Earth-sized exoplanets. It also helps scientists model Earth's climate, and serves as a cautionary tale about how dramatically a planet's climate can change NASA's DAVINCI mission will launch between 2028 and 2030. It consists of an orbiter and an atmospheric descent probe.
VENUS It is the 2nd planet from the Sun and is the closest planetary neighbour to the Earth. It is one of the four inner, terrestrial (or rocky) planets It is often called as Earth's twin as it is similar in size and density. It has no moons. It is the hottest planet in our solar system, even though Mercury is closer to the Sun. It rotates on its axis backward, compared to most of the other planets in the solar system
