Pakistan Successfully Tested Advanced Rocket System Fatah-2

Pakistan’s military successfully conducted a flight test of the indigenously developed guided multi-launch rocket system Fatah-II on December 28, 2023.
The system boasts a 400-kilometer range and advanced features, marking a major milestone for the country’s defense program.
With a 400-kilometer range, Fatah-II significantly expands Pakistan’s strike capabilities compared to the previous Fatah-1 system (250 kilometers).
Fatah-II represents the culmination of years of research and development by Pakistani scientists and engineers.

Qatar Court Commutes Death Sentence of 8 Indians

A Qatar Court has commuted the death sentence given to eight former Indian Navy personnel in an alleged case of espionage on December 28, 2023.
Indian Ambassador to Qatar and other officials were present in the Court of Appeal, along with the family members.
They worked with private company Al Dahra and were arrested in August 2022 on alleged case of espionage.
Ministry of External Affairs said, the detailed judgement is awaited and it is in close touch with the legal team as well as the family members to decide on the next steps.

India to Launch 50 Satellites in Next 5 Years

An annual science and technology event organised by the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay on December 28, 2023.
ISRO Chairman S Somanath announced in this event that ISRO is planning to launch 50 satellites in the next five years for geo-intelligence gathering.
This will include the creation of a layer of satellites in different orbits with a capacity to track the movement of troops and image thousands of kilometers of area.
Somanath said, for realising India's aspiration to become a strong nation, the current size of its satellite fleet is not enough and it should be ten times what we have today.

Anish Dayal Singh (Appointment)

Anish Dayal Singh has been appointed as the Director General of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on December 28, 2023.
Earlier he was heading Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and he is a 1988-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Manipur cadre.
Senior IPS officer Rahul Rasgotra has been appointed as the Director General of ITBP.
Senior IPS officer Nina Singh has been appointed as the chief of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

Ayodhya Railway Station Renamed

Ayodhya Railway Station has been renamed as 'Ayodhya Dham' Junction on December 28, 2023.
The railway station inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 30, 2023.
The Ayodhya Dham railway station is now a state-of-the-art facility that seamlessly blends ancient Indian architecture with modern amenities.
The station building resembles a majestic temple, adorned with domes, pillars, arches, and murals depicting the life and glory of Lord Rama.

Gole Mela Festival Held in Udhampur

In Jammu and Kashmir, a Popular Festival known as 'Gole Mela' was organized at Jagannath temple in Udhampur on December 28, 2023.
A large number of devotees assembled and paid obeisance at Jagannath temple and it is organized twice every year.
Devotees believe that from today the night time starts decreasing and day time starts increasing day by day.
Moreover, two ancient temples are dedicated to Lord Jagannatha across India in which, one is situated in Puri, Orissa and other in Udhampur District of Jammu and Kashmir.
