"The Love That Let Her Go"
By Afzal Ahamed Malik
She came with love, her heart so true,
Eyes full of dreams, the sky so blue.
She whispered hope, she held his hand,
And asked for more than life had planned.
He loved her deep, beyond all say,
More than the stars that guide the day.
But torn was he by threads unseen,
Of duty, blood, and vows between.
“I cannot marry,” he softly spoke,
Each word he said, his own heart broke.
“For chains I wear are not of gold,
But bound by honour, old and cold.”
She wept, yet walked the path ahead,
With shattered heart, her silence bled.
Another name, another vow,
But his love stayed—still beating now.
She looked for him in winds and rain,
In quiet moments, soft with pain.
Still drawn to him, her soul would bend,
But he chose not to cross that end.
For love, he thought, should never bruise
The life she now was forced to choose.
He stayed away, though near in mind,
A silent vow he left behind.
Not once he tried to steal her peace,
His love was pure, it asked no lease.
No body called, no selfish claim,
Just heart and soul that burned her name.
She lived her life in someone’s shade,
While he walked through the love he made.
No wedding bells, no child's sweet cry,
Just memories he held 'til die.
And when they ask why he stayed lone,
He'll smile and say in quiet tone—
“I loved her more than life could show,
That’s why I had to let her go.”
وہ محبت جو چھوڑ دی گئی"
