Nagas are extensively known for their rich cultural traditions and customs which are inherited from predecessors from generation to generation but, the natives of the Chokri Area of Nagaland under the phek district adore and give paramount importance and utilize it way more judiciously than any of the ethnic tribes of Nagaland.
As such, this particular community scrupulously accommodates the folk song culture which portrays as their source of identity. This also includes war cry, folk dances, folk media, solo duets, and trios which amplifies their admiration for the love of cultural songs and music.
The natives of the chokri Area don't need a literary script as their medium of learning rather, they memorize it and sing mellifluously by memory.
The pragmatic practice of the Chakesangs is way too inspiring as they have a cultural heritage research center situated at the heart of cheteba town; where collective ideas and inspiration are accumulated to accelerate their love for culture and traditions most particularly cultural music and songs.
To mention under the umbrella of chokri Area the famous classical folklore band “ Tetseo Sisters” hails from this particular sub-community called Chokri Area.
