📌 What is Climate?
Climate is the long-term average of weather conditions (temperature, rainfall, humidity, wind) over a large area and long period (30+ years).
🌍 Factors Affecting Climate
| Factor | Effect |
|---|---|
| Latitude | Controls temperature (Equator hot, poles cold) |
| Altitude | Higher altitude → lower temperature |
| Distance from Sea | Coastal = moderate, interior = extreme |
| Ocean Currents | Warm/cold currents affect climate |
| Relief (Mountains) | Cause rainfall (orographic effect) |
🌐 Köppen Climate Classification (Very Important)
Developed by Wladimir Köppen, based on temperature and precipitation.
🅰️ Major Climate Groups
