Celebrity Race Across the World 2026: New Line-Up and Epic Journey Revealed
Celebrity Race Across the World is returning to the BBC in 2026 with four celebrity teams preparing for another demanding journey across thousands of kilometres.
The fourth celebrity edition will take contestants from Kuching in Malaysian Borneo to Melbourne, Australia, covering around 7,500 kilometres across two continents. The teams must travel without flights, smartphones and their usual everyday conveniences, making the journey a test of navigation, teamwork and adaptability.
Celebrity Line-Up
The confirmed contestants include singer Sam Ryder, who will race with his tour manager Kaz, and singer Ella Eyre, who will travel with her childhood friend Nana.
Television personality Jeff Stelling will take part alongside his son Matt, while siblings Junior Andre and Princess Andre will compete together.
Each pair will have to work closely together as they navigate unfamiliar places and find their own ways of moving between checkpoints.
From Borneo to Australia
The 2026 route begins in Kuching, in the Malaysian state of Sarawak on Borneo. From there, the teams will make their way through Southeast Asia before continuing toward Australia.
The finish line will be in Melbourne, with the competitors facing a journey of approximately 7,500 kilometres.
As with previous celebrity editions, the racers will have to manage their limited resources while finding transport and accommodation along the way.
A Challenge Without Modern Conveniences
One of the show's central challenges is removing many of the conveniences that celebrities normally have access to. Participants have to navigate their journey without their phones and cannot simply book flights to cover long distances.
The format puts greater emphasis on communication, problem-solving and interactions with local people as contestants attempt to reach each checkpoint.
When Will Celebrity Race Across the World 2026 Air?
The BBC has confirmed that the fourth series will return later in 2026, although an exact premiere date has not yet been announced. Reports indicate that the programme is expected to arrive later in the year.
The new series promises another major adventure, with four celebrity teams facing a long journey from Borneo to Melbourne and the challenges that come with travelling across countries without the usual modern conveniences.
