India's first Semiconductor Fabrication plant to be developed by the joint venture of TATA group and Taiwan's PSMC will be set up in Gujarat's Dholera. Three Semiconductor plants for an estimated cost of 1.26 lakh crore will be set up in Gujarat (2) and Assam (1). The Chip Fabrication scheme will employ 26000 people directly and 1 lakh indirectly.
