Risa Textile gets GI tag
Tripura’s traditional Tribal attire “Risa” which is used as female upper garment and headgear recently received the Geographical Indication (GI) tag. The tag was obtained by Killa Mahila Cluster of Gomati district. The cluster is promoted by Tripura Rural Livelihoods Mission (TRLM). The Risa is given to Tribal adolescent girls to wear at an event called Risa Sormani.
