Let Them Wonder

Let them wonder where you went,
Why your voice grew calm, not bent.
Why you no longer chase their praise,
Why you walk through quieter days.
Let them whisper, let them guess,
Why you now reply with less.
Why your silence holds more weight
Than all the words they used to rate.
You’ve learned not all deserve your truth,
Not every stare has love or proof.
Some only ask to feed their pride,
But not to stand by you or guide.
So you stopped answering on demand,
You let your spirit take command.
No more bleeding to explain—
You rose, untouched, beyond their chain.
Now peace surrounds what once was pain,
You speak less, but your strength remains.
For in your silence, you’ve been freed—
From needing them to know or lead.
Let them wonder who you’ve become,
While you walk proudly—soft, and numb.
No longer theirs to judge or break,
You now choose what and who to tak
