Orientation Programme for the Legislative Assembly at Raipur

National Skill Training Institute in Telangana Inaugurated
- In Hyderabad (Telangana), on January 21, 2024, Union Tourism Minister G. Kishan Reddy opened the National Skill Training Institute.
- The institute, which was built for ₹19.90 crore on 4 acres of land, provides women in a variety of sectors with both short- and long-term skill-building courses.
- He claimed that the government of India has introduced a number of programmes aimed at empowering women.
- He mentioned programs like PM Ujjwala and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.

Inaugural Session of the 3rd South Summit in Uganda
- In Kampala (Uganda), Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan attended the Third South Summit's opening ceremony on January 21, 2024.
- India's ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the World is One Family—resonates with the Summit's theme, "Leaving No One Behind".
- On the fringes of the South Summit, Mr. Muraleedharan met Dr. Lemogang Kwape, the foreign minister of Botswana.
- The MoS stated that learning about the beneficial effects of the ICCR and ITEC (Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Programme) scholarships is comforting.
6th India- Nigeria Joint Commission Meeting
- Dr. Jaishankar arrived in Lagos, Nigeria on January 21,2024.
- He is on an official visit to Nigeria from 21-23 January 2024. He also chaired a meeting of Indian Ambassadors in West Africa.
- He held the Joint Commission meeting with his Nigerian Counterpart Yusuf Tuggar. Dr. Jaishankar also inaugurated the 3rd edition of the Nigeria-India Business Council.
- Dr. Jaishankar also addressed the Indian Community in Lagos, where he talked about India’s Covid response, economic recovery etc.

Sustained Increase in Incomes of Rural Households in J&K
